Tribute to Kaviarasar Kannadasan - Part 2
Remember to read Part 1 series to know more about Kannadasan, his works and some info about his life. In this Series we travel to Sirukudalpatti and explore the place where Kaviarasar lived, The village deity malaiarasi amman and the statue installed in memory of Kannadasan.
We started our journey to sirukudalpatti to visit the place where Kaviarasar lived. Enjoy the exclusive pictures.
First stop was to capture the sign board which led to Kaviarasar's house.
Once we reached Kannadasan's home, the house was locked. We could not find the person incharge who has the keys to the house. We asked nearby homes but could not get an answer. We heard that inside the house there are a lot of valuable pictures of Kannadasan. So we had to just settle with the pictures from outside. Here are a few of them.
We visited the Malaiarasi amman temple, the village deity of Sirukudalpatti. Kavirarasar Kannadasan has written lot of poems about this amman. Here are a few pictures.
Just close to the temple, we found a Statue of Kannadasan which has been installed in memory of him. Below is the statue and the kalvettu near the statue.
After taking all the pictures we returned home. Our 1 hr trip brought great memories. To add to the effect we had a MP3 CD of Kannadasan hit songs and listened through out our Journey. What a great man he is. Thankyou Kannadasan for your great contribution to Tamil and Tamil Cinema.
