Panguni uthiram festival falls in the month of Panguni on uthiram star that coincides with full moon.
On this day Divine marriages took place. (Parvathi with Lord Shiva, Muruga with Deivanai, Aanadal with Ranganatha, Rama with Sita ).
Devotees carry kavadi to Lord Muruga in fulfilment of vows.
