| Trichy to get TN’s IIM Jan 6, 11 |

Tamil Nadu is getting the country’s premier management institution, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) at Trichy.
This is the first IIM in Tamil Nadu. Damodaran, chairman, board of governors, IIM, said it was not their intention to replicate other IIMs. Trichy IIM will commence its activities with an executive development programme for 60 persons on a temporary campus in the National Institute of Technology (NIT). Six large rooms are provided and NIT is willing to provide more buildings.
Damodaran was full of joie de vivre about the institution and said the process of getting the right faculty was in progress.
He also said the admission of students will be based on CAT scores.
